She lived on the family farm for many years. Curtiss and their son Richard Lane (age 4) were killed on Sept. 8, 1956, after being struck by lightning while out working on the farm.

She worked during the summers at the Fish Haven Resort as a cook. She also worked as a cook for nine years at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital in Montpelier, Idaho.

Erma has always kept busy doing creative work. She had a rug loom to weave rugs, and she also braded five-strand rugs. She also loved to travel and went on several LDS Church tours and on vacations with her family.

In November 1971, she married Lamont Pugmire in the Logan LDS Temple. He passed away in October 1972.

Erma was the ward Stake Junior Gleaner leader for many years. She also was the Relief Society secretary for many years. She was always active in temple work and for a few years she lived in Logan and Provo, Utah, during the winter months with Jean Spencer, and they did many names at the temple.

She also enjoyed histories and belonged to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, where she presented the history lesson for many years. She has belonged to literary book clubs in St. Charles and Tremonton, Utah, and gave several book reviews.

She is survived by her daughters, Nona Bee of Tremonton, Utah, and Dixie Lee Bybee of Boise, Idaho. She also has 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Curtiss Pugmire and Lamont Pugmire, her sons Roger Curtis, Garen Ernest and Richard Lane, and her daughter Sharyn Marie Francesconi, her son-in-law Dale Bybee and her granddaughter-in-law Kollette Keller Bybee, her parents and her sisters, Jennie Rasmussen and Connie Webb and her brothers Clifford, Rich and Evan Allred.

The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to the Legacy House Assisted Living Center and the Intermountain Hospice Care for their kindness, love and compassion for the last couple years.
