Hewey Justin Garrett, age 76 of Marion, Indiana passed away on February 25, 2023. His battle with serious medical issues in recent months was just too much on him after losing his wife in 2021. He was born May 17, 1946 in Crawford, Tennessee to the late R.D. and Mauddeen Sisco Garrett.

Hewey was a great man who cared deeply for all those he loved, he would do anything in the world to try and help anyone out. One of his proudest accomplishments in life was being a grandpa. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and fast cars. He worked for Indiana Glass for 36 years before retiring.

In addition to his parents, Hewey was preceded in death by his wife: Diana Miller Garrett; son: Ronnie Lee Garrett; grandson: Hunter Walker; and sister: Carolyn Colwell.

He leaves behind his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and brothers.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 6th at Mount Union Baptist Church in Clarkrange with Pastors Rick Dixon and Steve Garrett officiating. Interment followed in Campground Cemetery.
