"Elvin Charles Nixdorf, forty-four, of 2522 Steinway St., Astoria, Long Island, New York, died at 8 a.m. Friday, in Bellvue Hospital, New York, after an illness of several years. Born in Lancaster, Mr. Nixdorf, a railroad electrician, is survived by his wife Jean, He was the son of the late William H. and Anna M. Nixdorf, and a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Lancaster, and the Eagles lodge in New York. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven brothers and sisters: Ella, wife of Jacob Stumpf, Ruth, wife of George Kiehl, Rosko Nixdorf, and Emma, wife of Elmer Elsen, all of Lancaster; and John P. Nixdorf, New York City; Warren H. Nixdorf, of New Jersey, and Theresa, address unknown."
