Rosko C. Nixdorf Sr., sixty-four, husband of Almeda D. Lehman Nixdorf, 737 George St., died at the home of his son, Jere, 1810 Conestoga Ave., at 11 a.m. Sunday. Although he worked until the time of his death, he had undergone surgery about two months ago. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late William H. and Anna M. Roadman Nixdorf, and had lived here most of his life. He was employed as a machinist at DeWalt's Inc., for the past 20 years. He was a member of First Reformed Church. He was a veteran of World War I, during which he received the Purple Heart. In addition to his wife, there survive three children: Rosko C. Jr., Chicago, Ill.; Nancy Jane, wife of Dr. Herman Rannels, Mann, W.Va.; and Jere L., Lancaster. There are also six grandchildren, and one brother and three sisters: Warren, Bridgeton, NJ; Ruth, wife of George Kiehl; Mrs. Emma Elsen; and Ellan wife of Jacob Stumpf, all of Lancaster.
