Norman Lee Walker, 59, of 2436 Mimosa Drive, died Monday, Dec. 16, 1985, at his residence after a long illness. He was the husband of Margaret Jean Hall Walker.

Born in Goodland, Kan., he was a son of Lenna Norton Walker and the late William Henry Walker. He was manager of Cellular International Sales Division of General Electric where he was a member of Elfun Society. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Elks Lodge No. 321. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Steven Lee Walker of Hardy; two daughters, Kathy Jean Snider of Norcross, Ga., and Karen Jo Walker of Shipman; one brother, Robert Walker of Goodland; two sisters, Shirley W. Hayden of Goodland and Bonnie W. Carleton of Phillipsburg, Kan., and five grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John Killinger. Interment will be in Virginia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Whitten Park Avenue Chapel and at other times at the residence.

The family requests those wishing to make memorials to please consider American Cancer Society, Piedmont Division, American Heart Association, or your favorite charity.
