GOODLAND -- Bonnie Lou Carleton, 77, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010, at Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital, Denver, with her family at her side. She was born Sept. 6, 1932, in Goodland, the daughter of William Henry "Hank" and Lenna Walker.

On Dec. 20, 1950, she married Edwin Jay Carleton. He survives. She is also survived by two daughters and their families, Marcia and the late Marc Budge, of Conroe, Texas, and Mona and Larry Werner, of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Steve and Julie Budge, Brayden, Annie and Abbie, all of Conroe, Tara and Shaun Deegan, Hannah, Shea and Ethan, all of Holton, Wes and Sarah Werner, Hillary, Zachary and Justin, and Wendy and Trent Winnings, Calista, Blake and Blaire; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Shirley and Dale Hayden, of Goodland; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, three brothers, one grandson, and two nephews.

Bonnie served as probate, county, and juvenile judge for Sherman County for six years and was a retired homemaker at her death. Memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, April 16, at Goodland United Methodist Church, Goodland. (Goodland Cemetery)
