Harvey Rich Allred, 86, died Tuesday, (1 Feb 1983) at the Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful.
He was born May 20, 1897, in Fairview. Wyoming, to Orson Pratt and Sarah Jane Rich Allred. He married Margaret Lovina Barrus, on June 8, 1922, in the Logan LDS Temple. An active member in the LDS. He served a mission to Carthage, Illinois, in 1963. He had been an officiator at the Logan Temple. He worked in construction as builder and contractor.
Survivors: wife, Logan; one son, six daughters, Laren H. Allred, Smithfield, Utah; Mrs. Rulon (Nadine) Laird, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Clair (Joyce) Hanks, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. Thomas (Shirley) Nelson, Logan, Utah; Mrs. Dewain (Carma) Jenkins, Centerville, Utah; Mrs. Milton (Lynette) Staples, Clearfield, Utah; Mrs. Jerry Ray (Deanne) Humphreys, Thayne, Wyoming; 43 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; Mrs. Othello (Lera) Brown, Logan, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Monday, at noon, in the Logan 19th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Wayne White conducting. Friends may call Sunday, evening at Cranney Mortuary from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and at the Church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
