James Lewis Gladhill, 69, Fairfield R1, a veteran of the Spanish-American War died Tuesday morning at 8:00 at the Philadelphia Veterans' hospital from a complication of diseases.
Mr. Gladhill was born in Adams County, a son of the the late Mr. and Mrs. George Washington Gladhill.
Surviving are his widow, the former Christine Anderson; five children, Mrs. Russell Harbaugh, Fairfield R1; Mrs. Maurice Sheely, West Virginia; Mrs. Calvin Riley, Fairfield R1; Wilbur, Emmitsburg, and Mrs. Kermit Glass, Emmitsburg, and two brothers, Charles, Highfield, Md.; and Roy, Gettysburg.
Funeral services Saturday afternoon at 2:00 from the Fountaindale Methodist church conducted by the Rev. James Dendler. Interment in St. Jacobs Reformed cemetery.
