Chelan – Mario V. Rubin, 79, al lifelong resident of Chelan, died Saturday morning in the Chelan Hospital.
Mr. Rubin was born March 15, 1901 in Chelan and attended schools there. He spent much of his life in orcharding and for several years before his retirement, owned and operated his own orchard.
He married Anna Culver in 1943 in Chelan, and she preceded him in death in 1974.
He was a 50-year member of Chelan Valley Lodge 118, F&AM, also a 50-year member of El Katif Shrine.
Survivors include two sisters, Bianca Hinton, Chelan, and Henrietta Churchill, Oak Harbor; and one brother, Frank of Wenatchee.
He was preceded in death by a son, three sisters and two brothers.
