Born in Fondo, Austria, May 12, 1873, she came to the United States in 1894.
She was married to Charles Rubin, in Seattle on March 30, 1895, and came to Chelan immediately following the wedding and has made her home here ever since.
Her husband and two daughters preceded her in death in 1943.
Surviving are Mrs. Chester (Alma) Tuttle, Mrs. Ed (Bianca) Hinton of Chelan; Mrs. Dewey (Henrietta) Churchill of Oak Harbor, Washington; Mario and Carl Rubin of Chelan; Frank Rubin of Okanogan; and Dean Rubin of Walla Walla; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one brother of Puyallup, Washington.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal church and of St. Andrews Auxiliary. She was a charter member of Silver Star Chapter 93 O. E. S. and a 50-year member. Also a Past Nobel Grand of Cascade Rebekah Lodge and a 50-year member of Lake Chelan Garden Club. She served on the first Rainbow Board and for several years afterwards.
Services were held Friday at 2 pm at St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Pallbearers were: Dick Ward, Bob Vogler, Elmer Lindquist, George Wall, Hillis Bowie and Dick Worden.
Honorary pallbearers were: Dr. P. A. Kemp, Lou Garnant, Joe Killian, San Garton, Charles Lund, Charles Oberla, Dr. Piro and Benton Bangs.
Music by Walter Harley at the organ and Dick Ellison, soloist.
