Chelan – Carl J. Rubin, 64, a life-long resident and long-time businessman here, died in the hospital Wednesday morning after a long illness.

He was born Jan. 18, 1903, at Chelan and for several years was in the logging and trucking industry. Before retiring die to illness two years ago, he owned and operated the Chelan Green House for 20 years.

Surviving are: his widow; one son, David Rubin, Lewiston, Idaho; a daughter, Linda Sinclair, Chelan; his brother and sister, Mario Rubin, Alma Tuttle and Bianca Hinton, Chelan, Frank Rubin, Okanogan, Dean Rubin, Walla Walla, and Henrietta Churchill, Oak Harbor; and six grandchildren.
