On November 10, 1937, he was united in marriage to Leeta Irene Hawkins, and to this union two sons were born.
His parents; two brothers, Williams H., and Elmo Clark; and one sister, Erma, preceded him in death.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Leeta, of the home; two sons, Floyd "Bud" Clark, and his wife, Patsy, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Ronnie Clark, and his wife, Rosalie, of Jefferson City, Missouri; three grandsons, Bob Clark, of Russellville, Arkansas, Scott Clark, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Gene Clark, of Lebanon, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Katlyn, Brittney, and Hannah; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
He was born in Klaxby, Missouri and grew up in the Iberia community. After he and Leeta were married, they made their home on the old Clark family farm that was homesteaded by Floyd's grandfather. In 1964, Floyd and Leeta moved to the Lebanon area and finished raising their family. Floyd owned the Clark Standard Station in Springfield, Missouri as well as the Shepherd Hills Standard Station and Clark Hardware and Farm Supply in downtown Lebanon, before retiring in 1982.
Floyd had made his profession of belief in Christ and was a very active member in the South Highway Five Church of Christ where he also served as a Deacon and a greeter.
He liked to attend sporting events, and especially basketball games in which his grandchildren participated. He loved children and was always interested in being a part of his families' activities. He also liked rodeos and working in his church.
Floyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, but the wonderful memories he created for his family and friends will live on forever.
Services will be held March 7, 2003 at 10:30 in the South Highway 5 Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Mount Rose Memorial Park. Visititation will be held from 7-8:30p.m. on Thursday Evening, March 6, 2003 under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon.
