William H. "Bill" Clark, 64, Iberia, died suddenly Friday, Nov. 22, 1974, at his home. Mr. Clark was born Jan. 9, 1910, in Miller County near Claxby to Henry and Cora (McDonald) Clark. He was married April 30, 1932 by the Rev. George Warman to Margie Jane Shelton, who survives at the home.

He lived all his life in Miller County, where he farmed and had been a truck driver. In 1947 he moved into Iberia where he was employed by Kinders A.G. Grocery for 13 years and the Iberia M.F.A. Grocery until April 3, 1974. Mr. Clark was baptized at the Smyrna Church of Christ and later became a member of the Bray's Advent Christian Church, where he was a former trustee and deacon. He was former worthy patron of the Iberia Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 537, former worshipful master of the Iberia Masonic Lodge 410 AF&AM, a charter member of the Iberia Lion's Club, present vice president of the Iberia Lions Club and a former member of Modern Woodsmen.

He was preceded in death by his mother in Jan 1944; his father in May 1945 and one brother, Elmo, on Dec. 16, 1925. Surviving, other than his wife are: two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Lou DeVore and Mrs. Roberta Sue Prather, both of Iberia; two grandsons, Mitchell Dale DeVore and Christopher Gale DeVore both of Iberia; two granddaughters, Donna Sue Prather and Carrie Leann Prather, both of Iberia; one brother, Floyd P. Clark of Lebanon; and one sister, Miss Erma Clark of Iberia.

Masonic services were held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Stevinson Chapel by the Iberia Lodge 410 AF&AM. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Bray's Advent Christian Church with the Rev. Aldon Veach officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia.

Active pallbearers were Floyd Wayne Clark, Ronnie Clark, Larry Shelton, Ben Voss, Fred Schaffer and Maurice Mace. Honorary pallbearers were Hezzy Henson, Isaac Smith, Herman Shockley, Virgil Ponder, Henry Leffmann, Bill Woody, Raymond Gardner and Jennings McKee.
