Elmo Clark Found Dead by Parents – Was son of former Sheriff Henry E. Clark
The death of Elmo Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Clark, came as a severe shock to his family, and to the many friends and relatives of the family as well.
Elmo was 19 years old and was just emerging into manhood. His death occurred some time during the night of Wednesday, December 15, as he was found dead the next morning in his bed. He had been to Meta the day before, taking a truck load of hogs, and the day before that he took the pupils of the Brown School on a sightseeing trip to Jefferson City.
Elmo was a promising young man and was held in high regard by his neighbors.
