Leeta Irene Clark, daughter of Jewell Scott and Mrytie May Slone Hawkins, was born October 14, 1913, in Dixon, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, September 24, 2008, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-four years, eleven months, and ten days.

On November 10, 1937, in Brumley, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Floyd Patterson Clark, and to this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd, on March 5, 2003; a brother, Chester Hawkins; a sister, Eula Tyler; a half-brother, Harold Hawkins; and a nephew and his wife, Philip Gene and Betty Jean Hawkins.
Leeta is survived by two sons, Floyd W. "Bud" Clark, and his wife, Patsy, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Ronald Clark, and his wife, Rosalie, of Jefferson City, Missouri; three grandsons, Bob, Scott, and Gene Clark; five great-grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Katlyn, Brittney, and Hannah; one great-great-grandchild; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Tuscumbia, Missouri area, and graduated from Tuscumbia High School in the Class of 1932. After she and Floyd were married, they made their home in the Iberia area and lovingly started raising their sons. In 1964, they moved to Lebanon where in addition to being a devoted homemaker and mother, Leeta worked as a dental hygienist at Fort Leonard Wood for twenty-one years, retiring in 1977. From 1974 until 1981,she also was the bookkeeper at the family's business, Clark's Hardware, in downrown Lebanon.

Leeta was an active member of the South Highway Five Church of Christ in Lebanon where she served in various capacities including Bible school leader, and deacon's wife.
In her spare time she enjoyed doing crocheting, embroidery and quilting projects, and also liked gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She enjoyed life in general and dearly loved her family. She was especially close to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leeta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments, and will hold dear to the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.

Services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday September 27, 2008 at Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation is Friday Evening 7-8:30 pm under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.A memroial has been established to the Fair Haven Children's home. Donation may be made through the funeral home.
