Mr. Leo Leonard Ambush, 88, of Dickerson, MD, received his wings to eternal life on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018. He was the devoted husband to Thelma Gray Ambush for 63 years. He was born on Dec. 5, 1929, to the late John Philmore Ambush and Mary Lillian Onley Ambush.
Along with his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Gregory Ambush (Linda) and Darren Ambush (Roberta); five daughters, Linda Helms (Richard), Rolena Franklin (Harold), Vickie Gilliam, Renee Richardson, and Leslie Ambush; brother, John Leon Ambush; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by: six sisters; nine brothers; and son-in-law, Cedric Richardson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Jackson Chapel UMC, 5609 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD, with viewing at 9:30a.m. Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. The Rev. Joseph R. Brown Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul AME Church Cemetery.
