Coming from Ione, Amador county, where he was born in 1865; with his parents while quite a lad, to settle on the broad acres of the Merced plains.
The aged father is WC Richey, the brothers WH and SN of Merced, JC of Reno, EC of Turlock and the sisters are Mrs O D Williams and Mrs W W Abbott of Turlock, and Mrs Frank MCConnell of Oakland.
