Joseph P. Glennon, Mahanoy City, was dead on arrival at 6:35 p.m. Saturday at Locust Mountain Hospital, where he was taken in the Mahanoy City ambulance. He had been in ill health. A son of the late Patrick and Margaret (Houlihan) Glennon, he was a native of Park Place, Mahanoy City.

He was a member of St. Canicus Church, Mahanoy City, and its Holy Name Society; the Knights of Columbus, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 74, Mahanoy City, and the Mahanoy City World War I Barracks.

Surviving are his wife, the former Marguerite Heeney; a son, Robert, of Roselle, NJ; a daughter, Frances, wife of Clinton Richards, of Leominster, MA; four grandchildren and a brother, Thomas, Park Place.

The funeral will be held Wednesday morning from the funeral home at 101 E. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City, with Requiem Mass in St. Canicus Church and interment in the parish cemetery.
