Mrs. Helen Boyle, Park Place, a retired employee of the Mahanoy township School District, died at her home at 6:10 p.m. yesterday. Although she had been bedfast a week, her death came unexpectedly.
Born in Jacksons, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret Glennon, and resided in Park Place since her marriage. At the time of her retirement, she had been a school district employee for 40 years. She was a member of St. Canicus Church, Mahanoy City, and was preceded in death by her husband, William, three years ago.
Surviving are a son and five daughters: Kenneth; Mrs. Irene Rech, Mrs. Mae Shore, Mrs. Helen Feckler, and Mrs. Florence Kaier – all of Philadelphia; and Mrs. Anna Jones, with whom she resided. Further surviving are three brothers: Thomas Glennon, Park Place; Andrew, Easton; Joseph, New Jersey; three sisters: Mrs. Mary Moran and Mrs. Anna Hanrahan, both of Mahanoy City; Mrs. Dora Arner, Pottsville; also, four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 8:45 a.m. Monday from her residence, followed by Requiem Mass at 9;30 in St. Canicus Church and interment in the parish cemetery. Viewing will begin Saturday evening. Charles H. Post, Mahanoy City, has charge.
