Father of 15 wonderful children, husband to Lucy, and father in law to Carole, Loved by all who meet him, eventhough, I never meet him, my husband Pat talks lovingly of his father. Here's a picture of your grandson Ben and his new daughter Lucy. Quote from a journal of his children's memories of their parents..... From Carolyn "In my eyes the sun rose and set on my father.I was so shy when I was a little girl, I remember sitting under his chair when he played cards next door at my uncle's house. I loved him so much. He prepared me for his death. He had me feel his pulse; it would skip several beats, and he would tell me that he would not be there to take care of me much longer. I would have to help my Mom. I heard my Mother cry that morning and I knew Dad was gone. Mom said he had gotten up early. When he did not return to bed she went to see about him. She thought he was on his way to the bathroom when GOD called him home, I went to sit with him, his hands were on his chest; he was holding his pipe, I think of him everyday. Some of his children really didn't get to know him. I tell them he loved them with his whole being, They were his "boy-kins' and 'girl-kins.'
Janice thoughts on her Dad...........I was only 10 years old when you died, but I'll never forget you. I always knew when one of the brothers or sisters was bothering me too much, all I had to do was find you. I didn't have to say a word. Just sitting beside you was all the protection I needed. I always loved when your brothers and sister visited us. Just watching you with them, laughing and telling stories, gave me the best feeling. Reminds me so much of when we all get together now.
