Ordained May 25 1915, Father Meyer was a Catholic Priest at Saint Joseph's Church in Marshall, Texas for many years. 1930 Harrison County, Tx census shows Father Meyer living next to the church and the Catholic school with his older sister Ann C Meyer, she served as housekeeper for him. His early years were spent in New Orleans, Louisiana. Father Meyer was a regular visitor to the local merchants of Marshall. He authorized many burials at the St Joseph's Catholic Cemetery for many people that died at the T & P Railroad Hospital who had no family or were unknown people to the area. Buried next to his sister, Miss Ann C. Meyer aka Ann Leutkemeyer. Father's last assignment was at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas.
