GERMAN CHILD DIES FROM DRINKING WHISKEY
As the result of imbibing in whiskey, Carl Hartung, the 4-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hartung of 334 South Thirty-fourth street, died a short time after he was found Wednesday night lying in a stupor beside a gallon jug of the liquor from which he had been drinking.
The Hartung family are Germans and it is understood that the child, unnoticed by them, went to a room where the jug of liquor was kept and became unconscious from drinking before he was discovered. A doctor was summoned but he was unable to revive the youngster.
Although the child died Wednesday night his death was not reported to Undertaker Setzler until late Thursday afternoon. The funeral services will be held today and the body will be interred in the Billings cemetery.
