Lyle Rodger "Rod" Clements

Early Life: Rod was born May 31, 1939, to Welby LaRay and Grace Geniel Nielson Clements, the fourth of seven children. They resided in American Fork, Utah, where he graduated in 1957.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Rod served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960, where he was a paratrooper, completing 36 jumps in three years. He worked at General Refractories in Lehi, Utah, for 39 years before retiring to make and sell jewelry out of his shop.
❦ He had two children from his first marriage and two from his second, before meeting his eternal lady and companion, Kathryn Garlick Clements. They were married September 25, 1971; their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Utah Temple. They moved to Lehi in 1973 and resided there until his passing.
❦ As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Rod served in many callings, including: Sunday School presidency, ward clerk, greeter, and several years in the Scouting program.
❦ Rod loved spending time with his sons outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, often tying his own flies in his shop. His favorite sports he played were bowling and golf. He loved watching football and there was always a Western playing on TV. He also enjoyed card nights with family. He will be dearly
missed by everyone. Lyle Rodger "Rod" Clements, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones in Lehi, Utah, on Monday, June 21, 2021. He was 82.

Preceded In Death By: His son, "Baby" Rodger Clements; his grandson, Dylan Clements; his parents, Welby and Grace Clements; and siblings: Darold Clements, Martin Clements and Shirley Price.
