A graduate of American Fork High School, Class of 1949, Martin LaRay Clements immediately joined the United States Army and for 22 ½ years served his country. Surviving the Korean and Vietnam War, he received an associate's degree in Applied Science of electronic technology.

He married Viola Lowder and was divorced. In 1984 he married Zola Patsy Fillmore. The marriage was solemnized in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple. Known to be frequent flyers of the Nevada Utah border, they enjoyed traveling coast to coast. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and family gatherings.

His wife Patsy; children and step children: Ed and Valerie Clements, Jesse and Debra Hopkins, Dusty and Rose Bennett, Michael and Tina Johnson, Don and Stacy Clements, Sheila and Charles Brown, Valerie and Stephen Digiantomasso, Martin Jr. and Phyllis Clements, Scott Fillmore, Lewis Fillmore, Mark and Robyn Fillmore, Jon Fillmore; 22 plus grandchildren and 14 plus great grandchildren; a special grandson, Chase Don Bennett; his mother Grace Nielsen Clements; brothers and sisters: Shirley and J.R Price, Lyle Rod and Kathryn Clements, Robert and Sherry Clements, Vickie and Merlin Hatton, and Jack Clements survive. His father Welby Clements, brother Darold J. (Bud) Clements, and sister in law Theresa Clements predeceased Martin.
