Gertrude I. Russell, 75, of Springfield died at 7:22 a.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1918, in Springfield, the daughter of James and Carrie Boehner Crim.
She married Oscar F. Russell Sr. in 1933.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Oscar, in 1977; a sister, Eva Bohannan; and a brother, Charles Crim.
Mrs. Russell retired from Zayre's in 1981.
Surviving are a son, Oscar "Sonny" Russell Jr. of Springfield; a grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Wilson of Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Margaret Connolly of Sarasota, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Staab Funeral Home, with Charles Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
