James S. Crim, 73, of 1621 E. Morgan Ave., was found dead at 8:30 a.m. yesterday in his home. Coroner W.C. Telford said Mr. Crim had shot himself in the head with a shotgun and than an inquest will be conducted.

Dr. Telford said Mr. Crim lived in a dwelling behind the house of a nephew, Tobias Bowman, who found the body. Bowman said Mr. Crim had been released about a week ago from St. John's hospital where he had undergone an operation.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Wilson, of Council Bluffs, Ia.; Mrs. Margaret Connally [sic] and Mrs. Gertrude Russell, both of Springfield; one son, Charles, of Springfield; a half-brother, Arthur; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
