Mr. Jackson was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the UAW-AFLCIO. He was a graduate of Springfield High School, and was the first March of Dimes poster person in Springfield. He retired from Allis Chalmers in 1966 after 26 years employment.
Surviving are seven sons and two daughters; seven grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Thelma Watson, Juanita Hammonds and Olga Curtis.
Services at Bisch Memorial Home. Private family interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
