Ivan Scott Jackson, 79, of Quincy,Illinois, died on May 23, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Jackson lived in Alamogordo for most of the last 40 years. During his time in Alamogordo, he coached boys' basketball at Chaparral Middle School, was a substitute teacher with Alamogordo Public Schools and sold tickets at Alamogordo High School for all sports.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Ingram; brothers, Lionel, Jimmy, Bobby, and Rufus "Ski" Jackson and son-in-law, Joe Kekahbah.

He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Jackson of Alamogordo, New Mexico; daughters, Sabrina (Kenneth) Vance of Jackson, Mississippi, Helen Jackson of Kyle, Texas, Tracey (Joseph) Ferguson of Palo Alto, California, Paula ( Steve) Larson of Hampton, Virginia and Marianne Jackson of Alamogordo, New Mexico; step-sons, David Homanick of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Dennis (Jean) Homanick of Clearfield, Utah; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Jane (Ronnie) Carter of Springfield, David (Carol) Jackson of St. Peters, Missouri, Billy (Pat) Jackson of Springfield, and Donnie (Maggie) Jackson of Chesapeake, Virginia; ex-wife, Geanice Dunlap of Pelatchie, Mississippi and many nieces and nephews.
