Final Rites Held Last Tuesday for Walter D. Pullen

Last rites for Walter D. Pullen, were conducted from the New Hope Methodist Church Tuesday,Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Cornell Daughtry & Rev. Robert Ellis officiating.

Mr. Pullen died at his residence in Winona following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Pullen was born Jan. 3, 1881 in Montgomery County & married Miss Beatrice Carson, Sept. 10, 1905. He was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of Winona, 7 daughters,Mrs. Winston Hovis & Mrs. Warren Nichols of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Ralph Jolly, Brooksville, Mrs. Eugene Allen, Kilmichael, Mrs. Joe Rose, Duck Hill, Mrs. Melvin Mills, Los Angles, Ca., Mrs. Dewitt Tyler of Winona; 3 sons, J.D. Pullen & Curtis Pullen of Winona, & Sgt. 1st Class Wayne Pullen with the U.S. Army in Yuma, Arizona; 1 sister, Mrs. C.W. Carson of Drew; 1 brother, John Pullen of Eupora & 25 grandchildren & 16 great grandchildren.

Interment was in the church cemetery, under the direct of Oliver Funeral Home.
