Jessie was born to Louis Boyles (L.B.) and Harriet (Ford)Perkins who were pioneer residents of the town of Clinton in Vernon County Wisconsin. Jessie was the 7th of nine children. Jessie married Anna Bell Currier in June of 1880. Jessie and Anna Bell had six children: William Lawson b. 1882, Edwin"Eddie" b.1884. Maude Ellen b. 1885, Loran Russel b. 1888, Loretta Myrtle b. 1891, and Grace Belle b. 1894. Jessie's occupation was a farmer. A 1896 plat map shows that Jessie owned 120 acres in section 10 of the Town of Stark which is approximately where the intersection of highway 131 and County P west is today. In 1901 the Perkins family moved north to Barron Wisconsin. In the Wisconsin State Census, Jessie and Anna and their three youngest children are living in the Town of Maple Grove in Baron County, with Jessie occupied as a farmer. After Jessie died Anna Belles died a few years later. Both are buried in Wayside Cemetery in Baron.
