Mary Evelyn Boatner, 80,of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, August 4,2007, in a local hospital. Mrs. Boatner was born November 10,1926, in Queen City, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a former member of Sacred Heart Womens Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dean Boatner; and her daughter,Pam Boatner. Survivors include two daughters, Handra "Dee" Cigainero of Queen City, Texas
Wyonne Rhnea Pomeroy; one sister, Gladys Martindale of Texarkana, Texas; three grandchildren,John Smith of Manhattan, Kansas; Raina Buls of Texarkana, Texas; Devin Cigainero of Queen City,Texas; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Smith and Samuel Smith both of Manhattan, Kansas and Gabriel Buls of Texarkana, Texas; and a number of other relatives. The family will receive friends at the parish hall following the memorial service. A memorial mass will be 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence Chellaian officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Those wishing to memorialize Mrs. Boatner may make contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Arrangements are under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
