Gladys Genevieve Martindale, age 92 entered eternal peace Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Reunion Plaza Senior Care center in Texarkana Texas. Gladys was born June 12, 1924, daughter of William Franklin and Nettie Smith Hill in Bloomberg Texas.

She married Albert Y. Martindale Jr. April 25, 1944. She was a member of Tapp Memorial Methodist Church in New Boston, Texas. Gladys was always young at heart, quick witted and dearly loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert “Al” Martindale in 1977, her sons Albert III “Butch” in 2002 and Jack in 2010, & all of her siblings Claude 1967, Ottis 1985, Margaret 1999, Velma 2001, R.A. 2002, & Mary 2007.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her loving survivors: Sons Patrick (Linda), Michael (Katiuska), daughter Melinda (Mike) Asher, daughter in law Caroline Martindale and grandchildren, Gary, Amanda, Chris & Laurinda Martindale, Jonathan, Joshua & Joseph Asher, and five great-grandchildren & several nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Services will be held 3 P.M. Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas Chapel. Burial will follow at Red Lick Cemetery.
