She was of the Baptist faith and attended Chilhowie Baptist Church during the years she was living in Chilhowie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Junior McClead; brothers, Bill Cornwell and Albert “Buck” Cornwell; sisters, Vicie Vanhoozer and Delilah Vanhoozer. She is survived by her son, Mark McClead and his wife, Annamarie of Ball Ground, GA; daughter, Katherine Linkous of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Mark McClead, Jr., Jason Gettemy and Melissa McClead; five great grandchildren, Layne Brookshire, Marlie Brookshire, Aubrie McClead, Alana McClead, and Easton McClead; and three sisters, Florence Cornwell and Mary Richardson both of Tazewell, VA, and Virginia “Jenny Ann” Cornwell of Bluefield, VA.
