He was born July 6, 1940 in Carey to Joseph and Irene (Lenhart) Billock. He married Wilma J. Barney on June 5, 1965 at the Basilica on Our Lady of Consolation in Carey. Wilma survives in Carey. Also surviving are two daughters: Paula Billock and Pam (Dan Schuler) Smith of Carey; three grandchildren: Scott, David and Patel Smith and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers: John, George, Frank, Isidore, Dean, Robert and Michael Billock and four sisters, Mary Shaffer, Margaret Nelson, Loretta Phillips and Ruth Billock.
Linus retired from Whirlpool Corporation in Findlay after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey.
Linus loved spending time with his grandchildren, from watching them in their different activities to teaching them to fish. He enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and baking.
Friends and family will be received from 2-6pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME in Carey.
Graveside service will be held at 9:00am on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carey, with Rev. John Bamman, OFM Conv. officiating.
