He was born in Carey, OH on September 24, 1941. He was the son of the late Joseph and Irene (Lenhart) Billock. He married Iris Row on March 1, 1968. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2002.
He is survived by three step-children, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Linus (Wilma) Billock of Carey.
Robert was preceded in death by six brothers, John, George, Frank, Isadore, Dean, and Mike Billock, four sisters, Mary Shaffer, Margaret Nelson, Loretta Phillips, and Ruth Billock, and a step-son Gary L. Risner.
He worked for Swan Rubber Company in Bucyrus for many years and more recently San-Con Industries in Upper Sandusky.
He was a veteran and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #344 in Carey.
Robert loved finding old wooden furniture set out along the curbs and restoring them back to their original condition. He also enjoyed taking trips to Canada, fishing and watching the birds.
Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Linda Davison officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
