Mrs. G. Mary Varnado, 282 West Foothill boulevard, Fontana, died Wednesday night at St. - Bernardine's hospital after a brief Illness. Mrs. Varnado was 50 years old and a native of Hayward, California. She had lived in Fontana one year.
She is survived by her husband. Ernest N. Varnado of Fontana; her mother, Mrs. Gerald E. Ward, also of Fontana; one sister, Mrs. Rogers Bayly of San Bernardino; two brothers, Edward G. Ward of Glendale and Charles B. Ward of Fresno; two daughters, Miss Mary W. Varnado of Fresno and Miss Gertrude H. Varnado of San Francisco. Mrs. Varnado was a member of the San Pedro Episcopal church, and of the Order of Eastern Star and American Legion auxiliary of San Pedro. She was also active In the Parent-Teacher association In San Pedro. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow from the Ingold Funeral home in Rialto. Interment will be in Rialto Park cemetery.
