Paul Lester Finley
Mr. Paul L. Finley, age 81, of Nebo, N.C. passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Autumn Care of Marion.
Mr. Finley was a native of McDowell County, born May 30, 1926 and was a son of the late Robert "Sidney" Finley and Hessie Edna Hollifield Finley.
Deceased sisters of Paul were Irene Finley Davis and Edna Finley Condrey and a brother, Albert Leon Finley.
He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a beloved leader for many years. Mr. Finley retired from Marion Mfg. Co. after spending most of his working years at Clinchfield Mfg. Co., prior to their closing. His family will remember him as a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Left to cherish Mr. Finley's memory are his wife, Elwanda Isaacs Finley of the home; Diane Kell, daughter and husband Benny of Newport, NC, Wanda Loftis, daughter and husband Doug of Marion; four grandchildren, Michael, Randy, Rebecca and Justin; three brothers, Earl Ray Finley and Sewell Finley of Nebo and Roy Finley of Marion; two sisters, Inez Kirkpatrick and Edith Elliott, both of Nebo and nine great grandchildren.
Interment will be in Fairview Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
