Mrs. Myrtle Michael, 71, of 300 Whitney St., Dowagiac, Mich. died at 1:30 a.m., in Lee Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Maude (Smith) and Hayes Smith. She was married May 12, 1917 to Orville Ragan. She was married to Albert Michael Sr., who died Oct. 4, 1972, the wedding occurred on Nov. 22, 1949 at the Sodus Evangelical United Brethren Church circuit parsonage on route 1, Eau Claire, with the pastor, Rev. Floyd M. Barden, performing the single ring ceremony. Survivors include two dau's., Mrs. Dawson Paul of Eau Claire, Mich. and Mrs. Norwood Harris of Marcellus, Mich., two step dau's., Mrs. Virginia Martin of Niles, and Mrs. Frances Coffinger of Eau Claire, two sons, Richard Ragan of Parchment, Mich. and Merle Ragan of Dowagiac, a step son, Albert Michael Jr. of Eau Claire, nine grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Eva Walton and Mrs. Nina Northrop both of Dowagiac, and Mrs. Mary Dirsil of Red Rock, Okla., and a brother Alvin Smith of Dowagiac. Her parents and serveral brothers and sisters preceeded her in death. Arrangements by McLauchlin Funeral Home. Pall Bearers: James Ertman, Henry Martin, Peter Paul, Albert Michael Jr., David Ragan, David Nicholson. The Twenty~Third Psalm was on her Funeral Notice.
