Daughter of Kenny and Mary MacDonald, and wife of Rex Hughes of Arthur Ontario, Peggy worked in the family restaurant in Kincardine before marrying Rex on the 24th of December 1960. Her home in Arthur was the site of many enjoyable MacDonald family reunions. No one ever left Peggy's house without a good meal and a piece or two of her delicious apple pie.
