Glenn grew up near Hazel Creek and was baptized with his brother Claude in Hazel Creek after they chopped the ice. He attended the Hazel Creek Church and was a "born again believer" never wavering and always gratefully following the Lord.
Glenn was always honest and hard working. He was a coal minor for 14 years, then a carpenter and cabinet maker until he retired. Glenn fought in World War II and was stationed at the Panama Canal. Glenn had many attributes and was a positive and strong influence on his family and others. He was always thankful and grateful for his blessings and his family and friends. When he prayed he could take you to the very throne of God! His gratitude and positive outlook was amazing! He died peacefully at his home early Wednesday morning (June 24, 2020), surrounded by prayers and his family. We will miss him but are looking forward to seeing him again because of his faith and ours, and God's Grace!
Family will receive friends for an hour on Sunday, June 28, 2020 starting at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Brown and Chaplain Carrol Davenport officiating. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.
