Jeanette "Grandma Beezley" Beezley, 89, a resident of Albion, died Sunday afternoon, Dec. 31, 2006, at Beverly Health Center in Fort Wayne.
Born July 18, 1917, at Wolf Lake, a daughter of Nicholas and Etta Mae (Addis) Herron, she graduated from Wolf Lake High School.
She was united in marriage on May 10, 1942, to Raymond Beezley.
A lifetime member of the Noble County community, she retired from Essex Wire Company in 1982, after 25 years of faithful service.
A member of Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, in Merriam, she was a life member of the V.F.W. of Wolf Lake and the Pythian Sisters.
Survivors include her children, Linda (George) Mitchell of Fort Wayne; Brenda Martin of Albion; Thomas (Joy) Beezley of Churubusco; and Janice (Dan Chupp) Snider of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Martha Land of Fort Wayne and Mary Jane Paulus of Columbia City; 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, a daughter, Lora Lee Sherman; a son-in-law, Lester Sherman, a grandson, a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter; three brothers, Max Herron, Floyd Herron and Kenneth Herron; and a sister, Pauline Utley.
The funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco, with Pastor Barry Faucett officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
