Floyd W. Newlin:

Floyd William Newlin "75," of 300 Millwood Avenue, Winchester, Va., died Monday, at a local nursing home. Mr. Newlin was born on August 28th, 1918, in Frederick Co, Va., the son of Salem E. and Mary V. (Lowery) Newlin. He was retired as a car wash operator, in Ohio, and was in the Army, during World War II.

He was a member of the Second Opequon Presbyterian Church. He was formerly married to Katherine Lucille SNAPP, of Winchester, Va., (who lives in Kissimmee, Florida). Surviving are two daughters: Barbara (Newlin) Taylor, and Sandra Fay (Newlin) Wilson, both of Kissimmee, Florida; a son: Floyd Wayne Newlin, of Newark, Ohio; three sisters: Grace (Newlin) Pitcock, Margaret (Newlin) Hewitt-Gardner, and Lena (Newlin) Wisecarver, all of Winchester, Va; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. A funeral will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, in Jones Funeral Home, Winchester, Va., with Dr. Ken H. Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, in Frederick Co, Va. Pallbearers will be: (Nephews) Robert "Bussie" Wisecarver, and (Jimmy) Roy Wisecarver Jr.- sons of Lena Catherine (Newlin) Wisecarver; (Nephew) Harry Hewitt - son of Margaret (Newlin) Hewitt-Gardner; (relation) Denny Wolford; Hugh Pitcock, and Samuel Pitcock.
