Almond A. Potts, 84, died Wednesday at the Good Samaritan nursing home. He was born in Taylorville, Illinois, and moved to a farm north of Olathe in 1920. He lived on the farm until 15 years ago when he moved into Olathe.
He was a member of the Baptist church and the Olathe Grange.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. W. C. Broaddus, Hannibal, Mo.; three sons, Roy E. Potts, Gardner, Hiram A. Potts, Canby, Minn; and Thomas R. Potts, North Hamilton Street; a brother, Joseph Potts, Mercedes, Tex., and two sisters Mrs. Annie M. Bedham and Mrs. Myrtle E. Edmunds, both of Taylorville, Illinois. Burial was in the Olathe cemetery.
