Died 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 1988, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was 67, a native and resident of Walker. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 2 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Tom Wilson. Burial in Vickers Cemetery, Walker. Survived by a daughter, Julia Dale Nevels, Walker; two sons, Sidney Covington, Jr. and Kerry Lane Covington, both of Walker; five brothers, C. E. Bendily, Monroe, Leslie Bendily, Denham Springs, Wayne and Milton Bendily, both of Walker, and Elgene Bendily, Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren; and a great grandchild. Preceded in death by husband, Sidney B. Covington, Sr.; parents, Robert Jefferson Bendily and Rosa Jane Milton Bendily; two sisters, Vida Amie and Elsie Connant; and three brothers, Jesse, Carl and Cline Bendily. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, Walker.
