Died at noon Monday, Sept. 7, 1981 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, New Orleans. He was a native of Walker and a resident of Buras. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and an employee of Plaquemine Parish Sanitation Department, Buras. Burial in Palmetto Cemetery, Walker.
Survived by his wife, Ruth Shavers Bendily; five daughters, Kay, Nancy, Diane, Trudy and Shelly Bendily, all of Buras; two sons, Bobby and Jeff Bendily, both of Buras; six brothers, Leslie, Milton and Wayne Bendily, all of Walker, Jesse Bendily, Gonzales, C. E. Bendily, Monroe, Cline Bendily, Jackson, and Elgene Bendily, Baton Rouge; three sisters, Vida Aime and Audrey Covington, both of Walker, and Elsie Connant, Monroe; 11 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his father, R. J. Bendily; mother, Rosa Jane Bendily, a son Raymond Bendily.
