Iris Love Broach Wrenn, 86, of 525 Allensville Road died Wednesday, October 9th. Born in Person County, Iris was the daughter of the late Samuel Nathaniel Broach and Alice Scoggins Broach. She graduated from Roxboro High School and Greensboro Women’s College. Mrs. Wrenn worked at radio station WRXO and ran Iris Wrenn Bookkeeping and Tax. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Adams Wrenn. She is also preceded in death by her brothers Nathaniel and Albert Broach; and her sister Ann Whitfield.

Mrs. Wrenn is survived by her five children: Geena Wrenn Hicks and Richard N. Hicks, of Chatham, VA; Bruce A. Wrenn and Patricia Morton Wrenn, of Roxboro; Susan Wrenn-Reed, of Roxboro; Sammy E. Wrenn, of Hurdle Mills; and Laura Wrenn Sapp and Randy Sapp, of Wake Forest. Iris is also survived by eight grandchildren: Alyce Kathleen "Katie" Hicks, Ben Hicks, Douglas Wrenn, Leigh Anne Wrenn and fiancé Casey West, Beth Breeding and husband Matt, Annie Horner, Will Huffaker, and Joshua Edwards, and six great-grandchildren: Caroline, Rachel Iris, Ward, Aislynn, Ava, and Maddox. She is also survived by her special cousin: Rachel Martin, and friends: Betty Joyce Wood, and Shirley Hamlett.

Graveside services were held at 11am Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Wrenn Family Cemetery, 1335 Wesleyan Rd., Roxboro, by her granddaughter, Alyce Kathleen Hicks. The family will receive friends at the home following the service.
