Rosanna (Rosannah) Summerow was the daughter of Barbara Hallman and Jacob Summerow.

Rosanna was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina, August 21, 1833; died April 5, 1912, aged 78 years, 7 months, 15 days; buried at St. Matthews German Reformed Church Cemetery, Lincoln County, North Carolina.

She married September 1, 1870, David E. Haulbrook, son of Jane S. and J. C. Haulbrook.

Rosanna and her sons William and Jacob lived at her father's homestead near the original site of the home of Henry Summerow.

They are listed in the 1880 US Census in Franklin Co., Georgia, as David E. Haulbrook, 30 b. GA ca. 1850, Farmer, both parents b. NC; Rosannah, 40, b. NC ca. 1840, both parents b. NC; William, 8; and Jacob, 5.

Rosannah is listed in the 1900 US Census in Lincoln County, North Carolina, as Rosannah Haulbrooks, 61, b. Aug 1838, m. 30 yrs, 3 children, 2 living, Farmer; William L., son, 28, b. Sept 1871, single, Farm Laborer.

Rosannah is listed in the 1910 US Census in Lincolnton, Lincoln Co., North Carolina, as Rosana Halbrooks, widowed.

They had two children (note surname spelling changed):
(1) William L. Holbrooks, b. 1871, d. 1962
(2) Jacob C. Holbrooks, b. GA 1873, d. 1914
