Susan N. Summerrow, LDS ID K8K2-WDF, was the daughter of Barbara Hallman and Jacob Summerow.

She married about 1838 Elkana Hartzoge (Elcanah Hartzoge or Hartsoe), "Cany", L449-2GS, son of Julia Hassleberger and Paul Hartsoe (Hartzoge). Cany was born in Lincoln County, NC, July 29, 1815; died of paralysis February 20, 1880.

They had six children:

(1) Mary E. Hartzoge, b. ca. 1844, liv. 1860
(2) Samuel Fair Hartzoge, b. 1846, d. 1865
(3) Frances Barbara Juliann Hartzoge, b. 1850, d. 1930
(4) (Daughter) Hartzoge, b. 1857, d. 1857
(5) Laura C. Hartzoge, b. 1858, d. 1873
(6) (Daughter) Hartzoge, b. 1863, d. 1863
