Mrs. Gaskins was born on March 28, 1933 in Florence County, daughter of the late Wiley Fennell and Ila Mae Hiers Fennell. She was a member of Prospect Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was active in the Prospect Golden Agers and Prospect Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Gaskins was previously employed with Wellman, Campbell Soup, Talon and Baxter.
Mrs. Gaskins was preceded in death by her siblings, Willa (Bernie) Bell, JaHue Fennel, Shelby (Preston) Turner and Buddy Fennell.
