DOSHA PALMORE (PAGE) LEBOW QUICK

d/o Joshua and "Sally" Sarah Hansford (Wade) Page. Born in Cumberland Co KY.

m1: John Lebow Oct 13 1842 Henry Co MO. John came to northwest Henry county in 1839 and patented a section and a half (960 acres) of land from the government. He paid for the land with military warrants. Upon his death , Dosha ended up with 240 where the dwelling was. Their two daughters divided the rest. Dosha kept her land ,but she and the girls moved to a small cabin near her parents, which was very close to the Page Cemetery. The said dwelling house and 15 acres of her land was deeded to daughter from her second marriage, Harriet Quick, at the time of Harriet's marriage and later became known as "Edgewood Farm".

1) "Senah" Lucinda Catherine Lebow (1844-1879)
2) Mary Jane Lebow (1845-1846)

m2: "Neal" Cornelius Quick Jan 30 1853 Henry Co MO.
Their 8 ch:

1) Harriet Quick (1853-1925 m: John Little ; 6 ch-Cornelius Q, Stella Daisy, Elizabeth Lillian, Clara Belva, twins Leora John & Louise Harriet.)
2) Mandy/Manda Quick (1855-1857)
3) Maurice Quick (1857-1935 m Ida L. Dodd, founded the town of Quick City MO., 9 ch-Cornelius D, Auther A, Edith, Ross R, Lawrence E, Frank N, Paul, Clara & Murray)
4) Paulina P. Quick (1858-1911IL, m: Cyrus E. McComb (aka McCombs).
5) Howard Quick (8 Apr 1860- m: Alice Wade, veteran of Boer War in the British Army, lived in South Africa)
6) Sallie Quick (1861-1884, unmarried, died shortly before her wedding day)
7) Clara Quick (1863-1891 m: Charles Single.
8) Alice Quick (1866-1944. Orphaned at age nine and raised by her brothers & sisters. m: Dimner B. Wallis aka Wallace, Six ch-Roscoe, Waldo, Keene C, Ruth H and infants Dimner Quick and Pauline Adella).

Dosha, her husband Cornelius, and her mother, died within ten days of each other during a flu epedemic.
